Nestled in the County of Vermilion river, a short 5 minute drive north of Lloydminster with pavement right to the drive, The Hitching Post is a premier outdoor venue designed for couples who crave a mix of natural wonder and sophisticated comfort. Home to our 40x 60 clear span tent, a custom barnwood bar and custom landscaping complete with pond and fountain, we provide a wildly beautiful setting for romantic celebrations. Big or small were here to make your most beautiful day happen right here in the great outdoors.
Our Story
They say when one door closes, another one opens, and that couldn’t be more true for us! As the world turned upside down with the pandemic, impacting so many lives and jobs, it sparked a wave of creativity and inspiration in us. As someone who has always had a passion for events and planning, felt like I was being nudged onto an exciting new path. One sunny afternoon while exploring my property, I started to dream about the untouched areas around me. Why not use my skills and this land to create a venue like no other? With my partner's incredible support, we dove headfirst into this project. After a lot of hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of love, we were thrilled to announce the launch of The Hitching Post!
